Epoxy Floor Maintenance — It's Simple
One of the best things about epoxy floors is how easy they are to maintain. Unlike tiles, timber, or polished concrete, an epoxy floor can be cleaned in minutes with basic household products.
Daily & Weekly Care
- Sweeping — a soft-bristle broom or dust mop removes dirt and debris
- Dry mopping — a microfiber dust mop is ideal for garages and workshops
- Moping — use warm water and mild pH-neutral detergent. Avoid bleach or harsh chemicals
What to Avoid
- Abrasive pads — steel wool or stiff scrubbing pads can dull the gloss
- Harsh chemicals — bleach, ammonia, and acidic cleaners may damage the top coat over time
- Dragging metal — lift furniture and equipment rather than dragging across the floor
- Tyre spinning — if you have a garage floor, avoid spinning tyres on a cold floor (cold tyres on warm epoxy can cause marking)
Spill Management
Epoxy is chemical resistant, but it's good practice to clean spills promptly. Oil, coolant, paint, and solvents can be wiped clean with a cloth and mild detergent.
Long-Term Care
Our epoxy floors come with a 15-year warranty. With basic care, your floor will look great for the entire period — and beyond. If you notice the gloss diminishing after several years, a buff and recoat can restore it.
